Oh the Joy

Hey everyone
Today was a great day for me. Working hard on being organized and got inspired
by some youtube videos! Gotta love you tube, just about anything you need to learn
to do is on there.
Anyhow, as you know I'm trying to be a DIY girl (Do It Yourself) so I watch a lot of channels
with projects and I love cooking shows. Always trying to build, design or cook something is my thing.
Ok so I was watching 'create' and I finally learn a recipe for great corn fritters!! I love fritters and I've never found a good and EASY recipe until today. It was so simple it was scary, but I tried it and it WORKED!

So if you're looking for a great corn fritter recipe, let me know!! I'll be happy to pass it on. It's quick and easy-and tastes great!

toodles,
Kay

Just Blessed

Hey all,

Getting ready to minister for the lord this weekend! it's always so exciting and nervewrecking, when I get ready to minister. I'm always happy to speak for the lord, but at the same time, I'm always nervous. Praying I don't make too many mistakes and wondering how well I'm going to deliver my message. Yet when I step back and look at the opportunities God has given me, I realize I'm just blessed. When I look at my life, my failures and my defeats, it's amazing to me that God still chooses to use me.

Im thankful that God is always looking for a willing vessel and not a perfect one. Yes I'm striving to be all I can be for God and doing all I know to please him, yet honestlly, sometimes I miss the mark. In my times of prayer I talk with God and his Spirit helps me to aim better the next time. I'm encouraging anyone out there, that it's never a time that God will throw you away. People may tire of you and family too, but God will always be there.

So on this beautiful weekend that God has chosen me to serve, it is my prayer that I serve well. That he gets all the glory and that lives will be changed! So let's press forward and press on people, especially during the hard times and dark seasons of our lives. I'm a witness that even in our darkest hour, God can still use you!!!!

Be blessed
In His love,

ikea girl II

hey all!

Both my enormous closets from ikea are in place! im so excited. more storage is definitely worth my aching back. lol. yes you could always just buy your furniture already made, but if your on a budget, this is the best way to go. we didnt even need special tools, just some screwdrivers, a hammer and a strong arm (the hubby).

so if your a diy (do it yourself) kinda girl or guy, then dive into a weekend project for two! this little project was perfect for the hubby and I to spend some time together! so to all the couples looking for a great way to connect, try working on a project together. remember to laugh at petty disagreements and put down the hammer if you start getting too upset. LOL

On another note, it's snowing where i am, yes spring is like a few days away and it's snowing. Unbelievable! but who's complaining, once it snows here, it just never stops. LoL.
I have so much I could write today, but time is calling!!!! so till next time.
Oh one more thing, I must remember to write my movie review on a film called "Limitless", this should spark some conversation. stay tuned!

Ikea girl

ok so here's something you wouldn't know by looking at me, I LOVE decorating and doing little projects within my home. I have always lived in small spaces, so after years of frustration, I started learning how to make a small space work! oh yeah--it's possible. with a little creativity, cash and some time-you can make a small space-EXPLODE! (it wouldn't hurt to watch a little HGTV either, they have great shows to inspire and get your creative juices flowing)

so anywho, hubby and I took a trip to IKEA last weekend, not to buy anything but just to get inspired and get away. If you've ever been there, you know what it's like to be there, it's like another world. Even with the boys tagging along, it was still a fun trip. On our way out the door, I spotted a bargain-a huge storage closet with huge shelves, for a very low price.

To my suprise, hubby was on board! not instantly, but eventually and we were so excited, we bought two (one for me and one for him). Last night we spent like three hours putting that thing together-but boy was it worth it!! If you have a small space and are struggling with space for storage, or even just looking to get more organized---take a trip to IKEA!

I'm redoing our entire bedroom and it's just in time for the new Spring Season. So hop in the car this weekend and take a trip-you'll rethink that small space your in. I'll post some more tips on recreating a small space in my next blog...happy reading.

Remember: Don't be afraid to try a bold new color on your walls, or purchase something old and jazz it up some. Pick a theme first--so that your new space has a direction to go in. Think SPRING, its coming around the corner soon so why not roll with that theme.
Let me know about your small space tips, nightmares or dreams!

Take that!

Today i'm sitting here thinking about my faith, thinking of the Lord Jesus the Christ and what would he say of our world today. I started to wonder, 'what am i really living for'. Decided that I don't want to be focused on making money, making a name for myself, chasing temporary things that bring me glory and not God! My prayer is that wherever the Lord takes me, I'm not consumed by my own lusts, desires and ambitions. Ever wonder while your doing the Lord's works, are your motives pure? Could you be after your own glory while doing what you (claim) to be doing for God? oh yeah it's possible, very possible.

So today my prayer is that God takes away all the selfish desires and ambitions we have, that have nothing to do with HIM. Elminate the 'I' and lift up the Christ in me. Take the money, the fame, the glory, the name, the 'anything' in our lives that replace HIM.

I just want to be filled up with MORE of the Lord, let his will be done and drink from his cup daily. Do you need MORE? (his joy, compassion and Grace). Lord give us MORE!!!!!!!!!!!

So much in Love,

Remnant Chick

2011 is here!

GREETINGS!
I've finally got my blog back, wow I can't believe it's been two years!
Well so much has happened and God is doing so many amazing things, there will be much to chat about this year. I'm so amazed that 2011 is even here, I mean I used to dream of writing those numbers on my papers at school. LOL.
It's amazing how things can seem so far away at one moment, and then when it happens it's almost unreal. Anyhow, this week is a busy week so I might start (officially) blogging next week. My church is celebrating TWO years of ministry, I'm so excited!!!!! Having a new ministry is a lot of hard work, but anniversaries let you see all that you've accomplished and give you reason to CELEBRATE. I don't know about you but I'm always looking for a reason to have a Celebration!

I saw the funniest movie over the weekend (it's an old one) but a goodie, i'll blog about that next time! Its a comedy and one I would definitely reccommend for a girls night out.

Be blessed, I love you guys....keep reading my blogs
